Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by WalkSomeMore.com to explain how we handle data. It describes the app's current practices and is not a certification or audit statement.

What we collect

  • Challenge details you enter: challenge name, sender name, step goal, start/end dates, privacy setting, and optional check-in cadence.
  • Participant data: name (optional), accepted/declined status, anonymous preference, final result, and optional step check-ins.
  • A browser-generated identifier stored in your local storage so we can recognize you as the same participant across visits.

How we use data

We use the data to create, share, and display challenges to you and the people you invite. Data is shared according to the privacy setting chosen by the challenge creator: full visibility, names only, or anonymous totals only. Individual participants can also choose to hide their own name.

Hosting and integrations

The app is built on the Lovable platform and uses Lovable Cloud for backend storage and authentication infrastructure. Messaging share links are handled by your device's messaging apps (for example, iMessage or WhatsApp), not by us.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small browser identifier stored in local storage to recognize returning participants. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Basic analytics may be collected by the hosting platform to monitor app health.

Retention and deletion

Challenge data is kept for as long as the challenge is useful and may be removed periodically. If you want a challenge or participant record removed, contact the app owner with the challenge link.

Your choices

You can choose not to enter your name when accepting a challenge, and you can choose the anonymous privacy setting when creating a challenge. You can clear your browser storage to remove the local identifier.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The latest version will always be available at this page.

Contact

For questions about privacy or to request data deletion, contact the app owner at the support channel listed on the home page.
